HARD ROCK CAFÉ DEMOLITION ON NOVEMBER 18, 2019

The Las Vegas Demolition and Environmental Services, LLC.® team tore down the famous Hard Rock Café building that stood in front of Hard Rock Hotel for the last 20 years. LVD was proud to take part in keeping Vegas ever changing…another piece of classic Las Vegas just became a thing of the past.

On Monday, Nov. 18, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino continued its “Farewell Tour” as it officially began demolition of the Hard Rock Cafe, located on the corner of Paradise Road and Harmon Avenue.

Marked by its 82-foot tall, guitar-shaped neon sign, the Hard Rock Café opened its doors in 1990. The cafe closed its doors on December 31, 2016.

Las Vegas Demolition and Environmental Services, LLC.® owes it’s origin to population growth and increasing tourism. With the steady increase of building and demolishing, LVD’s mission is also the imperative need to provide Nevada with safe, efficient and quality demolition services in a timely manner.

Las Vegas Demolition and Environmental Services, LLC. was on site for the demolition of the Hard Rock Café in Las Vegas Monday, November 18, 2019. With Bosworth are, from left, original employees Cindy Faraci, and Kathryn Bohannon, Richard “Boz” Bosworth, Las Vegas Demolition employees Mark Lory, Sal Catania, Sean Valentine and Joe Catania.

Clark County Museum administrator Mark Hall-Patton said. “They built it around something that everybody wanted a picture of.”

“They were really smart when they built that 80 foot guitar outside of the Hard Rock Cafe…It was used in movies.”

LVDemo also was contracted to demoing the Porte Cochere for the new Virgin Hotels remodeling and rebranding which has bought the Hard Rock casino property.

Don’t worry you can still see the famous and newly restored, Hard Rock Cafe guitar sign is working its way to a permanent home at the Neon Museum Boneyard in downtown Las Vegas and there are rumors the franchise will be opening another location in Vegas soon.
